![]() Most people seek out a wedding planner a year before their desired wedding date. This way it is more likely you will attain the venue, caterers etc that you really want. Venue dates go very quickly unfortunately.
Obviously if you are having a much shorter engagement I will work within your time frame.
If there is a year available, the decision making process can be more relaxed and you have much longer to look for your dress and consider all your options.
It is really you, the client, who sets the time frame when you contact me.
First I will find you a variety of venues that meet your criteria. You can then go and view them and make a decision on which you would like to host your special day.
Once you have the venue and the date set you can relax a bit.
Start looking at wedding dresses and deciding what styles you like.
About eight months before the big day we will begin looking at cakes, invitations, caterers, flowers etc to get an idea of what you want.
Within two months these decisions should be made and we can begin ordering and booking.
The wedding rings need to be bought, groom's and ushers' suits chosen and hired
The bridemaids dresses should be organised and the wedding dress and accessories bought so the final fitting can take place in the last month or so.
Arrangements with registrars, vicars, change of name for passports etc will all be dealt with at the appropriate time.
As mentioned before, each couple will have a timetable made just for them to their specifications and time availability.
Nothing will be overlooked.
Even reminders to have haircuts, teeth cleaned and all the other 'bits and bobs' will be scheduled in.
